What the world needs today is what it needed 2000 years ago; a tangible, visible and authentic revelation of Jesus Christ in his people.
“I also count all things but loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all thing, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ, and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.” Philippians 3:8-10 NKJV
The knowledge that Paul sought is the knowledge that we seek here at SOULS West. This is a knowledge that is not rattled or shaken by the newest fad or the trending statistics. It is the knowledge that is not a show, facade, or a mask of reality, nor does it change with the times or seasons. It is simply and plainly a knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ who He has sent. John 17:3
“To know one's self is great knowledge. True self-knowledge will lead to a humility that will allow the Lord to train the mind, and mold and discipline the character.”(
When we understand and know ourselves and how hopeless we are without God, we will, with Paul, seek to be found in Him, not having our own righteousness but the righteousness of Christ.
At SOULS West we seek to train our students to know God, to know God's will, and to know God’s will for their lives personally. We strive to foster an environment where students can become self-aware and experience ministry in a variety of locations, using diverse methods, while honing in on their specific calling in life.
Ultimately we want to train thinkers and not mere reflectors of other individual’s thoughts! Instead of educated weaklings, SOULS West seeks to instruct and send into the world individuals that that are strong to think and act, individuals who are masters and not slaves of their circumstances, individuals that possess the breadth of mind, clearness of thought, and the courage of their personal convictions. To know God, make Him known, and be like Him in love and character.
